FORTUNE

DESCRIPTION:
This wall mosaic was made for the solo exhibition 'Resurfacings', a collection of indoor themed work at the University of Glasgow in Dumfries in 2006.

The design, featuring several nautical references urges a great sense of movement like a rolling sea passage across its surface. The Wheel of Fortune is incorporated to show the capricious nature of Fate. It is set in a beautifully crafted frame of Cedar of Lebanon that compliments the colour scheme in a subtle way. This piece, is on temporary loan to Solway Tide in Kirkcudbright, where it can be viewed, and is available on request through Kate Anderson Mosaics.
